The Football Foundation’s Grow the Game fund provides grants up to £1,500 for the creation of new football teams and coaching qualifications, with money provided by The FA and delivered by the Foundation. Ultimately the money must be used to increase participation in football by participants and volunteers.

Albrighton Football Club were awarded £5,000 in November 2013 from the Grow the Game Scheme. The funding will allow the club to set up a new crèche team and a new Under-15s boys team, offsetting the costs of  facility hire, kit purchase, courses, insurance and league entry fees.
