Not-for-profit groups in the vicinity of a Veolia landfill site can apply for capital projects with a community / environmental benefit. Public amenities are the most common type of project supported – capital costs that provide, maintain or improve amenities that are open to any member of the general public. These include: • Village halls, community centres, and community facilities within places of worship, theatres, museums, libraries, and educational establishments. • Children’s play areas, skate parks, public parks and community sports facilities • Visitor centres with free entrance and potential for alternative community use • Footpaths, bridleways, cycleways and landscaping • Sports clubs offering multiple organised sports and with wider community usage/benefit. You can apply for up to £100,000.

The next deadline for the Veolia applications is Friday 25th November 2016.
