StreetGames are provided a number of free courses (webinars) for StreetGames trusted organisations over the next six months.

Several of these are around funding and fundraising as follows:

  • Sport England Queens Platinum Jubilee Fund. Tuesday 25th January 1.30 – 3 pm. Having just been launched by Sport England, this webinar will examine the specific funding criteria to help you prepare an application.
  • Other Sport England Funds. Tuesday 1st March 1.30 – 3 pm. This webinar will examine other Sport England grant programmes available.
  • Asset Based Community Development. Tuesday 18th January 5 – 7 pm. This workshop focuses on Asset Based Community Development and how it can be used to strengthen community programmes.
  • Facility Development. Tuesday 3rd May 1.30 – 3 pm. This webinar takes you though the other areas you will need to consider for this type of capital funding application.
  • Housing Associations – Community Investment. Wednesday 13th April 2 – 3.30 pm. This webinar will help you to feel confident in applying for funding from a housing association.
  • Holiday Activity Fund (HAF) bid clinic. Thursday 3rd February 1-2 pm. This webinar goes through what you need to do to be able to deliver a HAF programme.
  • Fit and Fed specific bids. Tuesday 28th February 11-12.30 pm. This webinar goes through what funding you can apply for to deliver a fit and fed holiday programme.
  • Community Safety specific bids. Thursday 17th March 11-12.30 pm. This webinar goes through what funding you can apply for to deliver a community safety programme.

Below are our generic fundraising workshops to help you with your fundraising:

  • Race for Investment. Mondays 4-5.30 pm 14, 21, 28th March and 4th April. This 4-week course is designed to offer sports clubs and community organisations hand on support, advice and guidance in writing funding applications.
  • Starting your fundraising journey. Wednesday 26th January 11-12.30 pm. This is aimed at those who are brand new to fundraising and takes you though a typical funding application.
  • Demonstrating the need. Wednesday 16th February 1.30 – 3 pm. This explains how to use statistics and data to demonstrate the need for your project in a funding application.
  • Budget plan and terminology. Thursday 28th April 2-3.30 pm. This focuses on the budget section of an application form and how to complete this.
  • Monitoring and evaluation. Wednesday 11th May 11-12.30 pm. This provides some ideas and tools to help you monitor and evaluate your project effectively and demonstrate the impact of your work.
  • Writing your fundraising plan. Tuesday 22nd March 1.30-3 pm. This looks at how to write a fundraising plan for the year encompassing different income streams to achieve your objectives.
  • Alternative income generation. Thursday 23rd June 10-11.30 am. This will take you through a number of ways to generate income.
  • Using a collaborative approach to fundraising. Tuesday 24th May 11-12.30 pm. This goes through the evolving fundraising landscape and how you can use an asset-based community development approach and good practice for partnership working.
