Leisure centres will receive £100 million of Government funding to keep Britons fighting fit through the winter months. The new fund from DCMS will help to support council-run facilities most in need. Lisa Wainwright, CEO of the Alliance, has urged government to make this the first step in providing more financial support to the sector as part of a comprehensive Sports Recovery Fund.
