From the 1st May Tesco are making changes to the Bags of Help scheme. Voting regions will become much smaller so that each store will only get projects from the local town put forward for the customer vote.

The type of project that is eligible to apply is also changing to include anything that benefits the local community rather than just outdoor spaces.

This is a great opportunity to support local community groups and Tesco can now offer grants of between £1000 and £4000 for anything from new kit for local sports clubs to funding a local fun-run or supporting repairs to a community centre or sports club to paying for training for volunteers – anything that benefits the local community is now eligible and any groups applying could be going to customer vote as soon as 1st of May!
