Football Association announces extra £60m investment in grassroots

The Football Association has announced it will invest a record sum of £260m in grassroots football over the next four years

With the number of English players in the top flight falling, the FA has increased its 2015-2019 funding for grassroots football – part of its National Game Strategy for Participation and Development – by £60m on the previous four-year period.

This will include;

£260m fund aimed at improving coaching and facilities
Money will help create 30 new city football hubs in England
