Childhood membership of a sports club increases the likelihood of being active as an adult. And increases it massively – adults at 30 are between three and four times more likely to be meeting government physical activity recommendations if they had been a member of a club as a child. In our last Sports Club Survey we found that more than half (58%) of the UK’s sports clubs are currently working with schools and, positively, nine in ten of these school-club links are reported as being successful. So what are these clubs doing right?
