Tony Blair’s sports foundation has been given more than £40,000 of taxpayers’ money by a Government quango.

The grant, worth £42,018, was from Sport England, using funding from the Department of Culture, Media and Sport. It was awarded to the Tony Blair Sports Foundation (TBSF), which he set up after quitting as prime minister in 2007.
