Over £600,000 worth of sports equipment which was used at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games will be distributed across grassroots sport in Scotland as part of legacy plans.

All 32 local authorities in Scotland will receive an allocation of over 5,000 items – including rugby, netball and hockey balls – through sportscotland’s Active Schools Network. Larger sports items will go to clubs and sports facilities across 13 sports governing bodies, 30 clubs and 13 facilities/trusts
