Leading educationalists involved in the delivery of school sports have called for urgent measures following the removal of funding for school sport partnerships.
At least two prominent sports educators argue that the Olympic and Paralympic legacy is in danger of being lost due to a lack of opportunity to participate in sports beyond what schools can provide.
